In 2017, Elise founded the NorCal CannaCuisine Gala, a first of its kind event combining cannabis, cuisine & culture while honoring outstanding activism and entrepreneurship. The evening hosted industry industry guru Steve DeAngelo as guest of honor and many cannabis thought leaders attended and sponsored the upscale affair. Moonalice opened the evening, performances from local musicians and speeches from cannabis luminaries were interspersed throughout the multi-course meal. Jeff the 420 Chef, aka The Julia Child of Weed, wowed guests with cannabis cocktails and low dose infusions were optional accompaniments for each course. After dinner guests enjoyed flower, extracts, infusions and cannabis in more various forms while dancing to tunes spun by DJ Logic.
